Common issue with Micro Panda (Geely LC 1.3)

Guys, my car has now exceeded 13,500km and found few issues that cannot be rectified by the Sri Lankan Micro Company namely: (1) Rear Door Alignment and (2) Power Steering Rack noise

1. Rear Door Alignment (Production failure) 

This is a disaster: Noise coming from the rear door, regardless whether I drive on the carpet road or just a normal road. I have given my car to the company for repair several time and they did several adjustments. It can’t be fixed. Finally they told me this is because of single shock to lift the rear door (production failure). So far, no replacement for either the shock or the door.




2. Power Steering Rack Noise (Production failure)

From the day I brought my vehicle, this issue was there. Despite my bringing this problem to the attention of the company whenever I put the car for repair, the problem was not fixed. Finally, an advisor promised me a replacement the next time. Because of this, I'm unable to take full left turns or right turns as well as whenever my right tire went into a pot hole this irritating sound will come.

  2. same experience me too with mx7 mark II.They checked & found the problem with front wheel bearings.They promised me to replacement of front wheel bearings.still they didnt do anything...

  3. Same Thing has happened to my Dads Car. Over Heating before the car hit a 1000 ks, Steering Rack Problems since the car hit 4000 Ks, SERVICE CENTRE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE PROBLEMS SINCE DAY 1 !

    There is a guy named Sumith who works there and apparently takes care of warranty repairs etc. The car has now done 18000 Kms with a messed up steering rack and I have been waiting 9 months for a replacement and Sumith NEVER picks up his phone. Sigh ! When I Go to Micro Sumith Never comes out because he is " busy" and cant meet me. When I ask someone else to assist all I get is that Sumith is In charge and no one else can answer on his behalf so to come back the next day.

    I live in Kandy so I literally cant be wasting time to come see Sumith everyday and get sent back or to take a few days off and to stay in CMB to meet him . Its so hard to go to the Kandy Service centre without being scared that the under side of the car would be in pieces because its SO LOW ! and also, they dont even have break pads in Kandy. Takes 2 weeks to get them in From Colombo. Never heard of courier i suppose !

    1. Agree.. everyone is facing the same difficulty with Micro Cars and their Customer Care.. No one will be proud of even if they say "Our Nations Pride". I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND A CAR FROM MICRO TO ANYONE BECAUSE THEIR AFTER SALES SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE TOTALLY SUCKS!!

  5. Hello Varuna, I'm planning to do my 4th service now. My first service was 1500KM and it has cost me Rs.4015.13. Breakdown as follows,

    Labor - 357.00
    Lubricants
    Windscreen Cleaner (They put this if my can is full or bit less.) - Rs.54.50
    Gear Oil 90SAE - Rs.1120.12
    Engine Oil2050 Micro - 1487.22
    Parts
    Engine Oil Filter - 566.10


    Note: They always add widnscreen cleaner if your can is full or bit less.

  6. Dear friends, Last week I did my 15,000KM service. So as usual I have reported the mechanical issues I had.

    1). Rack-end noise
    2). Rear Door noise.

    So after the service, technical staff inform me that rack-end has to come up with a modification and still they are working on it. For the rear door noise they did a replacement of a sock-absorber and after exact 1 day same noise has started. It seems there is no solution for both issues.

  9. i plan to buy a Micro Panda car to which i thought of paying 500,000/ as down payment.So what is the best way to do it? i need to get it before February next year. So when i need to start processing the entire work as you think?

    1. you will never get your car on time. because Micro Customer care sucks... try another brand or Micro Management should change the staff of customer care.

  10. I feel not so sure about having a full glass cover for the rear door in the long run. Have any of you had any damages to the rear door glass yet ?

  11. i using micro panda car... it is very cost for me because it is running 8 -9 km per ltr. it very cost for me.. i never buy micro brand..it is uncomfortable.
